Powerglove Discuss Creative Process & Production of Video for "Batman"!

In times in which too many bands are taking themselves way too seriously, its refreshing to come across a band like Powerglove. Dubbed as a "Videogame Metal" band, the Boston quartet is all about covering videogame songs and turning them into highly technical Heavy Metal. They also add a comical twist by wearing ridiculous costumes on stage, in order to bring their fans that videogame experience while they get their faces melted with some crushing music.

We had personally never seen them live, so we didn't know what to expect when they performed as "special guests" at this years Summer Slaughter Tour. While there is definitely an element of "cheese" Metal, the band comes across as a legit powerhouse of music and even though they do "cover" videogame songs, they take the listener through a sonic roller-coaster that is not for the weak hearted.

We had the chance to chat with drummer Bassil Silver when the Summer Slaughter Tour took over New York City's Irving Plaza. During the conversation we discussed the bands creative process, as well as the production of their new video for their song "Batman". The video was directed by David Brodsky from My Good Eye Productions and its a must see! Actually, you can see parts of the bands new video, on the video interview we did with Powerglove's drummer.
